Bohuslav Martinů birthplace in Polička
The famous composer Bohuslav Martinů’s birthplace is located in the tower of the St. Jakub church in Polička.
The famous composer was born here on 8. 12. 1890 and he spent his childhood here. You can visit also the Municipal museum or the art gallery, or you can do a nice walk on the most preserved medieval town walls in the Central Europe.
Svojanov gothic castle is situated above the river Křetínka valley.It is one of the oldest king’s castles in Czech republic and it is the only one with the mixture of gothic and empire architecture , it means the medieval times and 19. century.You can also visit an unique House of armigers. dům zbrojnošů.
Nové Hrady castle
This castle is located nearby Litomyšl is one of few rococo buildings in Czech republic. There is an entrance with the french broderier garden, a former castle granary, classicism arbor and more then 10 different gardens.
It is about 5 km away from Hlinsko, it’s a large outdoor museum, you can see there a folk architecture of an old settlement of timbered houses and there is shown a normal life of the farmers in the second half of 19. century. You can see a big farmhouse, a water mill, a water saw, drying room for flax and fruits and many others old buildings
This location is the ideal spot for cycling and walking. It is the “ rock” town , the part of natural reservation “ Maštale”.You can choose a lot of cycling, walking trials or knowledge routes as well.
Sv. Jan Nepomucký church
The pilgrimage church of St. John from Nepomuk is located on Zelená hora near Ždˇár nad Sázavou town and it is one of the most important baroque - gothic building of the architect Jan Blažej Santini-Aichel. This his master piece was added to the list of UNESCO cultural sights in 1994.
This highland is without a debts one the best preserved areas of pure nature in the heart of Bohemia. Some czech and moravian rivers start stemming from here, there are many ponds here, so this area was declared as protected natural source of water.
Velké Dářko pond
This is the best known pond in Ždˇárské vrchy area. There are a lot of things to do - sailing on the yacht, windsurfing , hire small boat or just relaxing on the bank. You can find there an Yacht club and many holiday cottages.

This memorable linden tree is situated in the northern part of Telecí village. You can follow a green touristic marks as well. It is called Lukas’ linden tree or Singing linden tree, according to the local fame, Lukas -the farmer was copying the holy bible inside the tree during the dark medieval times a he was singing - sadly.. The age of this tree is cca 600 years
This is another memorable linden tree, it became famous by the novelist Tereza Nováková, who wrote about it in her novel Drašar. It is between two villages Pustá Rybná and Březiny, just next the house n. 67. It is 240 years old, 26m high, 436 cm in circumference .
There are a lot of church sights nearby our accommodation - for example the church of St. Margaret and st. Catherin in Borová, church of st. Marie Magdalene in Telecí and the church of st. Bartholomeus in Pustá Rybná.
